Thank you for sharing. I used to respond right away to a text message, especially when the message is offensive. After sending the message I regret it because I said something hurtful. Thinking before speaking is very important in all kinds of situations, even for a few minutes. Even though it’s hard to pause, I try to so I can improve my relationships with others.

I do the same thing. I’ve gotten much better about it but I still slip up and say the wrong things. People who know me just laugh about it. Sometimes people are offended and I’m trying to work on this. I’ve gotten better but I definitely need to practice pausing for a moment before I speak.
