Illness makes anxiety worse

Does anyone else find if they are not well or have something wrong their anxiety gets worse

I find that I feel worse when I am physically unwell. I think it is just because we feel so bad physically and then it leads to us worrying about being unwell. Luckily colds and things are only temporary.

I agree I had a kidney stone a couple of weeks ago and my anxiety was quite high. I coming to the end of the 7th week of 100mg sertraline and just had a good week. But yesterday afternoon anxiety started and still here but I am wondering if it might be because I think I might have thrush from taking the antibiotics a week ago

Ouch I am sorry to hear that but antibiotics can cause thrush. I hope it goes soon and you feel better.

Fingers crossed as my anxiety Has gone backwards as I was doing so well

It could just be you being ill. I am sure once you are better then things will improve.

Happens to me all the time. I have fibromyalgia and get migraines. One bad headache or a fibro flare can affect me for days.
