Hi, I am new here and wanted to share my problem, maybe someone can relate and provide an insight into a possible remedy. I've been suffering from insomnia for around 6 years; it's mostly sleep maintenance issue. The problem becomes even worse when I'm sick. I went to several specialists and done some many tests. Was diagnosed with anxiety and given all possible medications that didn't work, but only made me feel worthless. Last specialist I went to gave up !! I mostly feel dragging in life and no one around understand what I'm going through !
Prolonged Insomnia: Hi, I am new here... - Anxiety and Depre...
Prolonged Insomnia
I am suffering from lack of sleep too.
I get to sleep ok but wake up around 3.30am maybe earlier maybe a bit later I guess I am learning to live with it
I don't take any medication ( drugs) as I don't want a drug induced sleep
Are you on medication?
how can we help, when the only thing you said about your insomnia was "sleep maintenance".
Do you have stressful evenings? Do oyu feel tired a lot? Perhaps you are one of those rare people who gets good sleep in less than 6 hours. Have you tried sleeping medications?
Does your patterns change when you have no obligations in life?
What has triggered full undisturbed sleep? When was last tiem?
Do you use electronics in bed?
Lexapro and Ambien are what I take. I also am starting to drink Kefir because I did some research and found out that gut health and brain health are connected. I know I have GI problems and didn’t see the connection to my anxiety before now. Also exercise everyday.
"Golden slumbers
Fill your eyes.
Smiles await you
When you rise.
Sleep pretty darling
Do not cry.
And I will sing
A lullaby.
Once there was a way
To get back homewards.
Once there was a way
To get back home.
Sleep pretty darling
Do not cry.
And I will sing
A lullaby."
