Losing my mind

Do you guys ever feel like it’s hard to grasp something? Or that it’s hard to focus on somethings?

I have a lot of moments like this & it honestly feel like I’m slowing losing my mind! I also have a hard time focusing my eyes on certain things. I have chronic migraines but I don’t know how to feel about this... I’ve never felt like it’s hard to focus on something! I’ll be thinking one thing but say another! Can this all be related to anxiety and migraines??

Well I feel like I have a hard time focusing on things at times because I am trying to do too much at one time. What is going on for you when are forgetting things? Are you having the migraines at the same time?

My head is always hurting or feeling weird, like a cool liquid sensation. I forgot things randomly throughout the day. I’d be talking to my boyfriend and in mid conversation I’d forget what we was talking about. I’ll eventually remember, but I takes a while.

Yes I was going to say that it does sound like you are overwhelmed because your mind is trying to process too much stuff at one time. Nevertheless, I think we all forget things at times because I try to multitask too much and talk on the phone and then I forget what I am doing all the way around. I think that it's only when I am soo stressed about something that causes me to be anxious that I completely get out of wack.

Well I’m always worried about my health & my anxiety is sometimes high without me knowing. It could be the reason why. I would hope so.

Oh I can definitely relate!! The running joke between my boyfriend and I and even some women from my church is that they are trying to figure out what "illness" I will have each week because I work in a hospital and I always think I have what one of my patients that I visit has.

That’s the same for me. I don’t work in a healthcare facility but everything a loved one get diagnosed with, I automatically think I have it bc if they symptoms.

Yeah we have to find a way to not internalize everything that we see or hear about other people’s illnesses etc. It can be very challenging.

Sounds like you are overwhelmed. Happens to me too. I get intense brain fog, absentminded, my eyesight feels off, tension headaches, and then sometimes I stress myself out so much that I get a migraine. Sometimes I even get an ocular migraine which is so scary. It can be related to both migraines and anxiety. There is also something called migraine hang over that can cause those symptoms too.

This is very helpful! I’d like to think it’s only migraine & anxiety but it feels sooo weird to be considered “normal” by the doctors. I try not to focus on it as much, but today was hard.

It's hard to be told your normal when you don't feel normal. Especially with your brain being scattered and absentminded. Migraines really mess with you. Look into migraine hangovers. That will definitely tell a lot more about your normal symptoms. But what you're described is most likely from anxiety and/or a migraine (if you have had one recently).

Yeah I completely understand that as well. All of the doctors that I have been too including my primary say that everything is normal but sometimes I dont feel normal. My therapist is the only one who may say that I am having a hard time...

I never heard of an ocular migraine before that causes anxiety. Is that very painful?

An ocular migraine causes major vision changes. Fire cracker vision, spotty vision, loss of vision, kalidescope vision, and it's pretty painful. The symptoms mimic stroke symptoms (not the paralysis though) which makes it terrifying. The vision symptoms don't last long, usually no more than 45 minutes, but the migraine headache can stay for awhile.

I believe I have different types of migraines each time. I definitely had an ocular migraine before, it caused the worse eye pain ever.

I get both types of migraines. Migraines are just so awful.
