Super anxious - worse than usual

Have been having extremely bad anxiety for last 2 or 3 days for no known reason. Had to take extra Xanax to even feel a little better. Anyone had anything like that? Suggestions on how to deal? By myself too much I think but it’s hard to move around with my physical disabilities. Help!

Yes I have. Try to do something that can work your mind. Coloring, painting, puzzles, writing, etc. Go outside for a bit to get some air. Put on some happy fun music and sing.

I hope your anxiety is better at this point. I try to distract myself from life my doing something that completely engages my mind. I make jewelry and play ping pong and that is totally engaging. Is there something like that that you could do? Senior centers have activities and that is where I go for ping pong. Let me know how you are.

Hi,I have just been put on sertraline for anxiety and depression.I am taking diazepam alongside it for the immense fear of side effects.Can I ask you how many xanax your on,as they are similar drugs.I to like you are at an age (69) where spending time alone is a difficult thing when you are suffering a lot of anxiety.I am new to this site so I hope you don"t think I am being to forward.Regards Linda
