Struggling with nausea associated with anxiety
I don't know of anything that really helps with it.
For me, when I have an anxiety attack that continues for multiple days, where my appetite is constantly low, I just sort of tell myself it's not "real" nausea i.e. that my nervous system is creating this feeling, rather than any real reason my stomach is upset. I do my best to make good meals for myself and basically force myself to eat even though I don't feel like it.
Hello!
I'm glad you asked this becuase I've struggled with issues like this for years. For me, it started as just nausea and eventually lead to more serious issues. I stopped having an appetite and then eating made me anxious because I just knew that I was going to feel sick afterwords. Then came bowel issues and stomach pains and I just want to encourage you to GO TO A DOCTOR! I saw a therapist for a while and while she was great i still had stomach issues.
I finally broke down and saw a doctor after blood was coming out of places that blood should not be coming out of (I know TMI but thats life). He recommended me to a gastro specialist and even when i told her that I knew these symptoms were anxiety related she gave me a medication to help and took my issues very seriously. Anxiety will manifest in physical ways and these sympotms are completely real and a good doctor will take them seriously!
I had diarrhea from anxiety. Professional help, meditation, and prayer has helped me. I have learned that anxiety is normal, but I have techniques to keep it down.
My mother always used papaya tablets..maybe give them a try and it's natural...hope this helps you...
Dump trucks of love, peace, light, joy and hugs for you!!!
Hi knittingninja, I to had bad nausea in the beginning I had to resort to taking Maxalon. Yes you need a script for this but it works.
The Oncologist said to take Ginger. Nothing fancy. Just ginger like sipping ginger tea all day long. Also other products that say they are Ginger. They taste better with gummy sugars, but don't usually work as well.
I'll keep searching for an answer for today and tomorrow. Then start a new search. Anxiety doesn't wait for me to join in. It goes charging into me. Keep fighting back!
