For some reason I woke up feeling anxious and I can’t seem to shake the feeling. I can’t figure out why I’m anxious but it seems like anything can trigger it and I think of the worst case scenario for everything. Anyone else feel like this or have suggestions. Kind words are always appreciated. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Anxiety
Hi Scott1776, Welcome! You are in good company feeling like that.
I don't think there has been one of us who hasn't or doesn't go through
morning fear. The anticipation of a new day, a new challenge and already
high levels of cortisol and adrenaline, just feed into our anxiety.
Since our subconscious mind stores all the events of the day including
those we might not even realize that impact us, it does come out as fear.
Once these negative thoughts take over our mind, everything becomes a
threat, a fear.
If this is a new experience for you, this forum will help you in not feeling so
alone. We all use different methods/tools to help us deal with these feelings.
As you interact with others on this site you will be given some ideas in how
everyone copes.
I'm glad you reached out to us. Looking forward to you joining in. xx
Thank you so much for your kind words
Hi Scott
Yes I have felt this way a lot lately as I’m going through a bout of anxiety and depression- have been battling it for 20 years off and on. When I wake up like that I force myself out for a long hard walk- it really helps me a lot. I also just started taking theanine and that seems to help too I think. Forcing myself to get up and move is key and usually resets my mental space. Hope you feel better soon.
Thank you for the advice...maybe I’ll try and set my alarm an hour early to go for a walk each morning
I find that jogging in the evening helps me with this. Try adding walking or jogging to your evening routine z followed up with some meditation before you hit the shower.
Hopefully this helps. Remember to breathe.
I am going through a relapse of a higher level of anxiety and feel it’s worse in the morning hours. I, too have been battling this for years on and off. I know how you feel and remember there is always hope. Feel better soon😊
Sometimes we don’t know what triggers our anxiety. Before I go to bed I make my list of no more than 3 things to accomplish the next day. More than 3 can you make fell overwhelm or dread of the next day. In the morning I take the first 10min I wake up to just meditate. I then write down 3 things I am greatful for.
Just know you are not alone and lots of people to help here! Enjoy your Monday stay positive!
