The vicious cycle that is living with anxiety.

I’m really anxious but don’t really know why. Therefore I can’t fix it which is then making me frustrated which is then making me more anxious.

And when I tell people what’s going on they say, “well if there’s no reason just try to get over it.”

And I’m like... how?

Oh I just love living a life with anxiety 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Hi morgues12, in my experience with anxiety, I feel it has something to do

with the fact that you had to go to the hospital for chest pains. Even though

you were given a clean bill of health, the "what ifs" remain. Because your

husband had to go out of town it brings up that thought...what if and he's

not there to support me.

It sounds like you are suffering from anticipatory anxiety as well as separation anxiety.

When you go to bed and try to sleep, your subconscious mind keeps playing that

thought over and over not allowing you to fulyl go into a REM sleep.

Friends and family mean well by thinking we can just put this out of our mind.

Presto, it's gone. Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that. I have always felt that

there is a reason that anxiety surfaces. Once you accept this as anxiety and work

on your fear maybe with a therapist, you will no longer be in that state of fear when

ever your husband is out of town. xx

I definitely plan on seeing a therapist.

That's the best thing to do morgues. Getting a professional to help.

We all go by our own personal experiences which at least you know

you are not alone in what you feel.

I wish you well. No one should have to live in fear. xx

Thank you so much 🖤

People who don't live with anxiety won't be able to understand it because they can't relate to something they don't know. Their idea of anxiety is being stressed about going to the dentist. We know anxiety can be so much more than that. Do you go to a counselor. He or she may be able to help you figure out what is causing the increase in anxiety. Sometimes my anxiety will flare up and I think everything is fine but when I really sit down and think about it i realize there is something triggering it. Sometimes, though, it can just be the chemicals in your brain are out of whack again. Do you take medication on a regular basis? If you do, it could mean you have to have a medication change, whether it be the dosage or the medication itself. Good luck with it all. I know what you are going through. It isn't pleasant.

I don’t see a counselor and I’m not on any medication right now. I have a doctors apt on the 20th 👍🏻

Not what you're looking for?
