Does anyone here ever get random irregular heartbeats ? I get lightheaded with them but then I can’t tell if it’s because panic sets in or if it’s legit caused by my heart.
I have been checked so many times and they tell me I have ectopic beats that they are benign.
However, these scary runs of 2 or 3 never happen on the monitor so I get super scared they have missed something !
Anyone else similar ?

I eventually had an irregular beat caught wearing a 48-hour monitor. I have SVT. I get light-headed.
The monitor is only a picture of that second to 10 seconds. It’s not what happens in your life. Every time you feel it write it down and how long it lasted. Write down what position you were in and if it hurt.
Ectopic beats are rarely felt. If you aren’t feeling an abnormal rhythm it may be another heart issue so keep your diary.
I’m a special one that unfortunately feels all my ectopics beats. I have had so many holters. Even one for 30 days and just picks up ectopics. But the run I had felt different so it freaked me out. No pain just panic and lightheaded. Only had this type of run scenario once so hoping it doesn’t happen again.
I think this person who wrote this is goofy but the facts are correct. I’d ask my doctor about the vagus nerve interaction both HealthyHappySafe and Lauriem4.
I am fairly young and have afib- abnormal beats that sometimes requires blood thinner. I also feel all my ectopics as my afib has caused me a great deal of anxiety. I suggest seeing an electrophysiologist who specializes in rhythm. Ask for a monitor- 2 weeks is ideal as hopefully they will catch it. Best to know if it’s just ectopics or something else you might need to treat. In either case you will be just fine. Anxiety isn’t good for any of these extra/abnormal beats so work on that (hah that’s why I’m back in this group). You also might consider supplementing with magnesium if you aren’t as it can help from what I’ve read. Best wishes- you will be ok trust in that!
