Anxiety crisis
May I suggest you take reassurance from the fact that your symptoms are not of some serious physical illness. Breathlessness goes with the territory when you have anxiety disorder, we've all experienced it.
Anxiety exaggerates all your minor fears and concerns into major near insoluble problems. Bear this in mind, the problems you have aren't anywhere as bad as anxiety leads you to believe.
Kriskomp, what brought this on? What has happened in your life to cause this to happen? It must have been going on some time until finally you reach anxiety overload. You must address the problem and neutralise it which may well require ruthless action on your part. Do it, your future happiness is at stake.
Valium are excellent at banishing anxiety for several hours or even switching it off for the rest of the day. A 5mg valium should be sufficient or even half a 5mg tablet.
What I suggest is that you accept all your symptoms for the moment in the full knowledge that they are not signs of serious physical illness but the result of glitches in your nervous system brought on by stress, overwork, worry, disappointment etc When your anxiety is resolved all the fake symptoms will disappear. Accept your bad feelings for the time being, do not let them intimidate you despite the discomfort. Try not to add second fear to the flash of first fear. Fear is what causes anxiety disorder: conquer your fear and the anxiety yields.
You will recover your quiet mind. Nothing terrible is about to happen to you. You are not the first or the last to experience this. The key to recovery is not to be intimidated by your anxiety, it is a paper tiger, its power is limited. Leave your room and recover your place in the outside world: alone in a room causes nonstop introspection, you think of nothing else. Outside other matters will pre-occupy you diluting the constant concern with your symptoms. All troubles pass and so will yours.
