I walked along the shores of a river estuary and saw a pink blackberry hedgerow which was alive with buzzing bees and fluttering butterflies. At first the butterflies all looked a dull brown colour but on a closer look I could see this one was beautiful. It has milk chocolate borders to it's wings and patterns of orange within. On the corner of each wing are dark chocolate eye spots, the top wings with two spots within and the bottom with one spot.
I also really liked the name when I looked it up. The Gate keeper. It could perhaps help us to be gate keeper's of those thoughts that can go spiralling out of control at times.

Thanks for replying. I have really loved your reply to my other post about nature because you told me a bit about your land and your wildlife such as coyotes as well as your lifestyle.
If you get time it would be great to hear more about it, particularly the animals and wildlife.
I find the USA very interesting and it is great to hear about it.
How beautiful!!! I love this analogy. I love nature too , dream to be on a lovely property one day, not the right time ATM though. , I feel such peace when im in the country , it's just you and nature no pressure or expectations . I too see beauty in the not so obvious. I don't know much about butterflies, I wonder why they're called 'gate keepers'. Thank you for your post !!
