Not only am I new to depression and anxiety support groups, but I am new to online chatting altogether. Four months ago, I moved from my hometown in Canada to Europe for work thinking that it would change my quality of life for the better. It has not and I am suffering here even worse than the rut I was in back home.

Welcome! I haven’t been on this app long but I can definitely tell you everyone has been helpful. Just know your not alone and we’re here when ever you need to talk.
Thanks so much for the warm welcome. I really appreciate it. So far, I have figured out that Europe is not for me and I just want to return home to my family. But I need to land a job there first!
Welcome to the UK
It seems you have only been here a few months, could it be the change is not up to your expectations and you have not given sufficient time to get settled in a different type of environment.
Personally I feel you may be jumping to fast and need to allow more time before you throw the baby out with the bathwater.
You say you are starting to look for a new job in Canada, consider the time you may have to take before finding a new job in Canada as an experiment, you have nothing to loose. Things may settle here.
Hang in there! Find a focus. Something each day to keep you busy. Like, going to the grocery store or planning a meal to cook, or just going on a walk. I fight my issue with focus. I give myself things to look forward to. things i can count on. Good Luck
