To all of you my dear fellow humans who suffer from anxiety and panic attacks I would like to recommend a book by Edmund J. Bourne "The anxiety and phobia work book". I went to a licensed clinical social worker with my problem and he recommended a number of books, this is one them. Abdominal breathing never failed me yet.

How do I focus to be able to read it?
Tapping and breathing are my first "go to" places.
Would you please explain a little bit more what exactly do you mean by focusing to be able to read.
My mind wanders to dark places of anxiety.
Have to concentrate to focus on the materials like books, articles, internet news.
Junk in, junk out!
When I experience anxiety the symptoms last somewhere between a few minutes and half and hour, and I usually drive when it happens. It never interfered with my reading. However I know that if I am not rested enough I cannot read. Makes me go to sleep.
