I hope all is well. I know it's been a while since I last uploaded my first post a few months ago, but I have been very busy in my personal life.
A few days ago as I was going through some old junk papers and throwing things out, I came across a magazine my cousin gave me that centered on teen depression. The name of the magazine is entitled Awake! Yes, it's a magazine from Jehovah's Witnessess and my cousin is one of Jehovah's Witness and she's my best cousin. Whenever I feel down or there is anything else going on in my life, she sends me magazines and words of encouragement. Although I am not a Jehovah's Witness, I do find the magazines to be very helpful at times.
In this magazine, there was one article that caught my eye and it was the Emotional First Aid Kit, and this contained a list of things you can do whenever you feel depressed and down. Without further ado, here is the list of the Emotional First Aid Kit:
EMOTIONAL FIRST AID KIT
1. Have a book or list of contact information of people you can call or text if you're feeling down.
2. Have a playlist of songs that are uplifting and positive.
3. Have a list of inspirational sayings, articles, etc.
4. Have a list of your favorite verses from the Bible such as:
Psalms 34:18, Psalms 51:17, Psalms 94:19, Philippians 4:6-7, Philippians 4:13
5. Have mementos to remind you of people who love you.
6. Write down positive thoughts and experiences in a journal.
