GP wants me to stop my Citalopram

Hi everyone, I am a long term user of Citalopram and I also take Amitriptyline to treat nerve pain in my feet. Recent ECGs have shown a long QT caused, my GP says, by this combination of medication. I halved my dose of Amitriptyline and my ECG was normal but my nerve pain returned. I went back up to full dose of Amitriptyline and halved my Citalopram but my ECG was abnormal again. My GP has now said that she wants me to stop my Citalopram and have another ECG in a week’s time. I’m terrified of stopping my Citalopram as I’m convinced something bad will happen and I won’t be able to cope.

I myself have stopped citalopram because my prescription ran out for a couple of days ...not to scare you but I had increased anxiety, brain zaps and nervousness but I wouldn’t stop taking it unless you feel ok about it...no one knows you like you.. hope you feel better
