Emetophobia

I'm new here! I used to be "normal" in the sense that I wasn't afraid to go out, go to work, go to class, etc... two years ago however, I suddenly developed this extreme fear of vomiting and vomit in general. It's at a point where I can't go anywhere without losing sleep over it, getting extremely anxious. I can't do last minute plans, and I only order delivery, never go to restaurants. I just want to be okay again.

Do you know what triggered it or was it just completely random?

You will be ok again ❤️ Have you tried any form of therapy for this?

From speaking with my own therapist about phobias, if this is a ‘simple’ phobia, they can often be overcome quite rapidly with the right therapy, such as CBT.
