Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well. I'm making this post because I need some help with a project I'm trying to start in my town. It would be centered around helping people dealing with anxiety and depression or simply going through a tough time. I have a couple of ideas that aren't fleshed out yet so I won't be talking about specifics yet but these are my questions: What would you ask for if you could get any sort of help where you live? A physical activity program with mental health professionals and a diet created to increase wellness rather than lose weight quickly? A place where you can be matched up to other anxious people to learn to get more comfortable in social situations, maybe including some kind of moderator? Anything goes really :)

Also, if you have ever found something to be healing for you repeatedly in the past ( Like a song, a movie, a certain phrase or whatever had an impact on you really) that I could incorporate into the program(s) it would be greatly appreciated.

Well first of all that’s a wonderful idea. I have anxiety and depression and one thing I think would be good to have is just counselors that people can call in and talk to you or go in and talk to. Also group therapy is very helpful and nice to experience. I’ve done it and it’s lovely as long as people aren’t packed into a room that’s too small for them. I suppose you could also have information sheets from the CBT or DBT manuals Which helps people deal with emotional regulation.
