Lexapro and Trazodone combo treatment

New to the site, glad the community is here. Have been having insomnia (heart races as soon as I lie down to sleep) since last August. Was on Xanax for a while but had to stop for obvious reasons. Started Lexapro (5mg.) last week. Also taking 5mg melatonin nightly. Started 10 mg. Lexapro today. Sleep problem continues so clinician wants to add low dose Trazodone at night. I already have low pulse issues with the Lexapro and am concerned about heart rhythm issues, among others. I have a cardiologist I’m going to see tomorrow (had heart surgery to repair a defect 20 years ago), but I wonder if anyone here has been on this combo and how did they fare. Thank you in advance.

I have been on every medicine under the sun for sleep. Only thing I find that works is 20 mg melatonin. Instead of Xanax talk to your provider about taking a low dose of Klonopin or Clonazapam sp?? In the evening. Unlike Lexapro- neither should cause bradycardia
