I'm not sure it's for everyone but what works for me is time. You see what happens today is a brief moment in time, if you feel bad or anxious then it is at that moment of time. Like a boxer you train your mind to beat anxiety. I have tried CBT, counselling, self help books, apps, internet pages. Exercise, and self help groups. On there own they didn't work but together I gained knowledge that gave me strength. Now when things get bad I accept it and let time pass.

I think it's true that there isn't just one way to get over anxiety, or, in my case, depression. It takes multiple things working together to create wholeness.
