Antidepressants, has anyone gained weight upon taking them?......

I am on buspar, Lexapro and Wellbutrin I can’t seem to loose any weight since starting these meds, even though I don’t eat that much it looks like I eat tons of food 🥘 all day. Is someone else is having this problem, please share your experience.

Yes! I don’t remember there names but 1 made me gain 10lbs in a week. Another made me gain 30 lbs in a month. Both made me feel hungry all the time. I would wake up in the middle of the night starving and would eat whatever I could get my hands on.

In February my dr started me on Wellbutrin because he says it’s 1 of the few that don’t cause weight gain. I’m not losing weight, but I’m not gaining either.

It’s my understanding most depression meds cause weight gain which really sucks because that is 1 reason I m so miserable.

I was on Remeron and I was so hungry all the time, I was literally shaking from hunger even though I had just eaten. I gained about 15 pounds in a month which in one way was good because i had lost 15 pounds when I was really depressed and had no appetite.

I stopped the Remeron because it made me gain weight. I’m now on cymbalta and rexulti. I guess the rexulti can make you gain a few pounds but I’m not starving all the time like I was on the Remeron.

I took lexapro for years with no weight gain but I’m sure it effects everyone differently.
