I'd start with myself. I lost me a long time ago

What's your first thing?
The years I lost being agoraphobic. 😞
Same here. I feel like I lost myself a long time ago too.
A follow up question would be;
Would you give up everything that you currently have to look in that box?
This is an example of the butterfly effect. Take back that one thing that you lost and everything changes. The changes may not be for the better.
I like to say “right now, everything in my world is exactly as it is meant to be”. I have no idea of what tomorrow will bring, so I’m not willing to reach into my past to make it better at the risk of today. I have lost a heck of a lot, but I like to think that I gained by losing.
That's a good follow up question.
For me people may look at my life as not being bad and it could be true but they are not me they are not feeling what I'm feeling my emotions. So I might risk it by opening that box and maybe changing my future.
But I totally get what your saying. The butter fly effect was a good movie. And thought provoking for sure!
I actually posted this with a purpose. The cause of emotional pain, anxiety and depression included, is irrational self talk or thinking. Looking back and thinking about how it could have been, should have been... is basically irrational. What it is or what I’d like it to be is rational, and is what our emotions need to be attached to. Other people may do ok moving in and out of irrational thinking, but for most on this site it is not a good thing.
My mom.
I feel the same.
