What's happening to my body?

I just had an anxiety attack. But it doesn't feel like my usual attacks so I'm scared and confused.

So I had an allnighter, and just finished class from 9 to 3. It takes around 2 hours to get to my uni and another 2 hours back. I was feeling anxious throughout the whole day, feeling really sleep deprived and couldn't concentrate in class at all.

Class finished and I was half way home. It was peak hour and the second train I took was the wrong one so I ended further than I was meant to be. That's when my anxiety peaked, it was hot and so crowded and I felt like I couldn't breathe properly. I broke, cried and called my mum to pick me up.

What was strange was, I couldn't feel my heart palpitations, my heart rate didn't go up, it actually felt really slow and kind of faint. I also felt somewhat disconnected to my body? It just felt light and empty. Like my body was void from sensations.

Even now, I feel strangely calm but I'm really worried because it's my first time experiencing something like this. Is this another sort of panic attack? Why would it be different from my usual ones? Even though I'm panicked, why isn't my heart rate going up?

It could be a pre-syncopal response to the anxiety. The signs are ringing ears, blurring vision, feeling a disconnecting from body, weakness, dizziness, a feeling of panic, or impending 'doom.' The heart may also beat faster. The blood pressure will drop and tingling fingers and toes can occur. I am not a doctor, so this is just an opinion. IF it is pre-syncopal symptoms they can be relieved by getting the head lower and the feet higher. If it happens again you should talk with your health care provider.
