It's sad that this kind of a post has to even be put up.....we are all adults.
Maybe we should have the over 18 version, or a rating system for those that are delicate in nature. I understand the 'F' word may be offensive for some, but some cultures and people don't care. So maybe we should have a list of what words we can and can't say....like on TV....they say H*ll, B"ll*h*t, D"m*,and S**t on regular TV, so what is okay to say here?
Y'know I think the thing is that...bad language can be a trigger for some people. Even adults. Some just aren't comfortable. It's kind of given that in a setting where there are anonymous people of varying ages from all across the world, that we need to respect their boundaries.
I know it's a bit of a hassle. I swear a lot too but I also realized that many people are not comfortable with certain words. Since we're on a site meant to comfort people, we should be considerate about their feelings while still finding a way to express ours.
I mean, I'm not trying to sound rude or anything I understand how you feel. But...I'm a teen that swears every second of the day. I don't find it hard to refrain and speak formally for the comfort of the reader. So...I suppose it really isn't that hard.
I mean, people in offices are adults too. You don't cuss in official letters or in professional settings, now do you ?
I suppose you could just curse in private messages. That's what I do after I ask the person if they're comfortable with it.
I remember our geography teacher saying bxxxxxd wasn't a swear word.two days later my friend said sir you are a bxxxxxd thinking nothing would happen and he got suspended for three days.
Sometimes there are no other words to describe constant suffering...🤔..ohh fiddlesticks what another bad day and no one is answering the phone on the suicide hotline
Well, for what it's worth, when I first joined this site, I briefly considered the username, "mrbadexample," but thought better of the idea out of deference to the original "Mr. Bad Example," Warren Zevon:
