Hello...finally.

Hello everyone,

Just as my profile suggested, I thought I'd like to say Hi after a couple of months lurking and reading! I wasn't in a good place to really share myself when I signed up as I'm sure you'll understand - but I've taken great things from you all and learned alot about myself as I hid in the keyboard shadows :)

I was diagnosed with bipolar about 7 years ago now and suffered more with the depression of it - lost jobs, lost partners and nearly lost my wife and child recently (the fact that I still have them in the house with me is a sure sign I picked the right one - she's been put through the wringer for sure at times). I've got debts of a third world country, but I'm still here. :)

I start a new job on Monday, I'm listening to music again, I communicate with my 2 year old daughter more than I ever have and the sun just came out from the clouds.

It's better now, but I am no fool (ha) I know it's a roller coaster - but I think this forum is going to continue to help me, I'm not unique - but if I don't learn from all of you good people while I can...then I am the fool for sure.

Hugs and best wishes to all of you. Keep fighting...we'll get there.

Jonesie.

It's good you're doing things again - baby steps. Wonderful you have such a supporting family. I live alone and my family has always been very distant with each other. Now any family I have is spread out all over the country. I have a few friends to talk to although my closest friend lives 80 miles away. Anyhow keep going, give yourself credit for every thing you tackle and conquer.

Thanks kateba. All I have within reach is my wife and daughter, any other friend or family that I haven't isolated is 4 hours away...I got used to my own company (No one else can put up with me for long as I lose boundaries easily). You ever want to chat for Britain, just let me know...because some days I can't stop! :)

Go steady.

I think many times people just can't understand what we go through. You shouldn't feel like their tired of you or that you push them away, they just don't know how to respond.

That's a very positive way to look at it. I guess it's easy to get caught up in our (my) selves at times.
