It doesn’t make me feel better to know other people are in worse trouble. It makes me feel bad for them, too. I wish nobody had any problems, ever.

That statement is just depression playing its tricks on you. Depression is not a "right". It's an illness that needs treatment. Does anyone with heart disease, diabetes, lupus, etc., complain that they don't have the "right" to be ill when so many others in the world have it worse? Illogical thinking is a standard symptom of depression. Don't think in terms of rights. Think in terms of treatment and recovery. You WILL get there!
