Does anyone find it hard to cope with crowded or noisy places. I find that I. Get overwhelmed and dizzy and want to just escape.

I do especially if it unorganized, too many people, and hectic I then just leave. Like being in a store such as TJ max, Costco, even Target I dropped things and just left and walked out if my anxiety is triggered by the place.
I get the same thing often. Over time, because I want to heal this thing, I've started just breathing through it (knowing that I CAN leave if I must). Usually I do get through it and feel better for having overcome another bad patch. Apparently the repetition of this kind of thing is what actually rewires our brain and heals us. The stress center in your brain starts learning not to overreact in the given situation but it takes repetition. (It's called 'exposure therapy'.) I've found that it works.
Thought I’d look at your page after you kindly replied to my question. Everything you’ve written I’m the same. I am agoraphobic now, I always say I’m fine in the house, anxiety is generally low level. But going out, other people, queues, car journeys are not something I participate in anymore. I think I got here by slowly avoiding more and more because of my weight, the things I did try to do I hit panic mode so avoided until here I am now. Can relate. Sending warm wishes and I hope you have a good day 🙂
it does help when hearing that others are experiencing the same problems in that we don't feel so alone. Agoraphobia is, I feel, one of the worst symptoms of anxiety, it takes away your freedom and you become a prisoner in your own home. I am trying to fight it but the outside seems such a scary place. I am going to try for councelling to try to overcome it. Please don't worry about your weight, just concentrate on getting better and deal with that later. Take care.
ward146, Agoraphobia was one of the worst times of my life but I used that
time to work on myself with the help of counselors and I won.
What an amazing feeling. I will support you any way that I can.
