Mine was terrible too. I wasn't sure if I was going to kiss her on the cheek or lips and I'm kinda fuzzy what happened next except that my face deflected off hers and I went home with my tail between my legs. 🤪

Well done. Mine was awful too as he slobbered a bit. I remember going indoors and telling my mum. Her response 'You had better marry him then coz no one else will want you'. She was always telling me I was obnoxious or accusing me of 'being up to my tricks again accompanied by a sneer and a look of hatred in her eyes. She always 'accused' me of being secretive and sly like my father whom she hated.

It wasn't until many years later in her care home that one day she turned to me and out of the blue said 'You are nothing like your father are you'? I nearly dropped dead from shock and said 'Mum dear it's only taken you 50 years to realise that! x

Oh she said things like that all the time, she loved slagging me off and running me down. She claimed years later she was trying to help me! I told her that is never the way to help anyone and all it did was make me unhappy. It was her version of love.... x
