Anxiety and Phobia week

This has been a bad week for my anxiety. Today I feel very anxious about my assignments and my internship that I need to interview for but the agencies aren’t responding to my emails. On Monday I had this weird physical thing in relation to my phobia of the reproductive system. My abdomen felt very tight and I physically could not relax. It took me hours to fall asleep. I tried deep breathing (the 4 in 4 hold 7 out method), but it didn’t help me physically relax

Last night I had a nightmare about spiders and woke up very early with intrusive thoughts about spiders taking over every thought I had. (I don’t have a severe phobia of arachnids but they do scare me and make me very uncomfortable)

I just feel so stressed out and overwhelmed and I don’t know how to manage it. Nothing helps me get this tight feeling out of my chest.

I know how you feel! You seem pretty stressed out and that’s no fun. I have a fear of spiders they are so scary to me. Get the headspace app I’m sure it could help you!

I am sorry to hear your anxiety and depression are worse. I have found that taking magnesium (magnesium malate is best) and ginseng helped me a lot w both, they calm the mind body and spirit and get rid of sticky negative thoughts the loop around in the mind. Many are now taking magnesium to get rid of anxiety. Also, getting outside, laying on the grass to get grounded and breathe in fresh air, looking at stars, these things help a lot too. Speak aloud positive truths to counteract the negative thoughts and things said to us. Also, Volunteering helps us get our of our own misery to help others, which helps us. Call those negatives a lie and correct them to yourself. To help go to sleep, I use a favorite audio book that is calm and light hearted, put it on timer, use headphones if needed. It turns off the brain. =) Hope these help you too.

How long did you take magnesium before it started to work? I just started taking it for migraines
