hormones make everything worse

does anyone have suicidal ideation when they’re on their period? because i’d rather get hit by a car than leave the house or even cook myself a meal when i’m on mine. I’m not actually going to kill myself so don’t start giving me hotline numbers to call an tell me to see a doctor.

My sister-in-law was having the same problem. I don't remember how it was resolved, but she doesn't even eat soy now because the extra estrogen is a problem for her. I hope you get it worked out soon.

Oh heavens no, not me. But I have little doubt that my husband did. Fortunately, those days are long gone, but my hubby's still around! Lol

I noticed I got very erratic during my period, more angry, anything would set me off. As I got older, the severe mood swings did subside, but you might want to talk to your OBGYN, they may have something that can help you out. I know one thing, hormones surging can make your life a mess!!!!

Ugh my period wrecks me. I get irritable, wild mood swings, and reaaaally depressed. Like, it's probably the worst time for me. I don't know what to do about it, but I get it. Hugs. If you find anything out about helping it, let me know?

I don’t know if you know this but you can not want to actually kill yourself and still have depression and anxiety.

Ummm....are you a troll? Not a good place to be doing that. We are trying to make improvements in our lives in spite of the struggles we've been through. Words matter, and the things I've seen you post on some of the sight are likely to be very hurtful to some. Why are you here exactly?

I just saw an article on this actually. One in like 10 girls I think it was experiences increased mental illness and suicidal ideation up to 10 days leading up to their period. Crazy stuff.

I was given HRT to help sleep but progesterone made me seriously suicidal within a couple of days. Hormones really change your mood. Your doctor should be able to help
