Crying

Does anyone else struggle with crying all the time ? If so what do you do to try and control it

if you can pinpoint any reason for the crying outbursts then that's a starting point.its not a bad thing to cry from time to time but when you figure it out why then it will be easier to deal with.

Usually I just watch funny videos or something, or think happy thoughts! What’s making you cry?

It’s gotten to the point it can be anything at all even a commercial

I have started crying more frequently also. I trace it back to holding in so much and trying to “control” my emotions that even if I have to cry, at least I’m getting something out.

That sounds like me. Growing up we didn’t show our emotions it was more of a sign of weakness. I still try to always act like everything is great but behind closed doors it’s a mess

I struggle with crying at times. Some days at work I'll be thinking of something and then the tears start coming out. I try to hide it so no one sees. Not always easy. Sometimes at night in my room I'll cry. I've kinda just go with it now and let it out. When I find my new therapist I'm sure that will open the doors to more crying.

I’ve only gone to a therapist twice and i know I should probably start again but I always talk myself out of it.

Hmm I only cry a lot if I stay stuck in dwelling on a situation that I’m upset about ... I Distract myself by watching tv , music, praying/meditation/exercise... going outside

Just removing myself from the upset I suppose and reminding myself of other things that I used to be upset about that passed and so will this... this too shall pass x

Hi yes I do too, it doesn't matter whose around if I'm bad I can't stop it. Sometimes feels like my eyes are "raining" yesterday before started crying tears were coming from my eyes almost without me knowing. I get bouts usually in morning where I will cry for couple hours. Also yes anything can set it off I think when you feel so emotional you are so raw, anything upsets you for me a baby crying, anything at all.

I’m bad about dwelling on one situation constantly and it just makes me an emotional mess the rest the day. The only person I always spilled everything to has become I guess tired of me being how I am and he’s one of my issues I have best friend in the love of my life type situation but he’s gotten to where he basically gets mad if I try to vent or clear my head and just tells me everyone one has problems get over it move on and I don’t think he understands it’s not that easy for everyone to just get over things and move on from what’s upsetting them.

I understand how you feel well do you have kids or do you love kids ? I work in a school and it happens to me so I tell the kids that we are going to play a game and this is how you play it you pick some thing in the room and they have to see if they can find it and then they have to come up with something funny about it..Well that is what I do I hope you the best and like I said try it...

Yes I have 5 kids 18 down to 3 yrs old. I’ll try this out. Thank you
