I have been having multiple panic attacks for the past several days. They seem to come every few hours. Although I know they can't hurt me, I am feeling so drained. I'm feeling defeated physically and emotionally. I'm at work shaking in my chair because I'm so anxious. I am in the beginning stages of starting an SSRI (which I know will take 4-6 weeks to build up in my system). Has anyone taken klonopin before? My psychiatrist prescribed it but I haven't taken any yet. I have health and death anxiety so taking new medication is always really scary for me.

I haven't taken that medication before. But when I was prescribed medication it was Buspirone and I tried it for exactly 45 days and quit because it just wasnt a big help for me. And I never took any meds after that. And it's almost three years later of still going through my journey of anxiety and its never ending symptoms. You sound much like me feeling physically and mentally drained and just defeated. I had to quit working at one point because my anxiety had gotten that bad for me and I was always worried and afraid for my health and death. My biggest fear. And because I dont want to take any medication I'm trying to conquer this without it I just wonder sometimes if I'm making my journey harder and worse by not trying any medication. You are not alone. And because I have let this hold be back for so long I have finally decided to start my new broadcast endeavor on YouTube. I am basically discussing my journey of anxiety and what we go through and I discuss mainly the fear of death as I hope my broadcast will help others who relate so we can get through out fears by talking about it more. It's basically another platform and I show my face and show who I am as I go through my journey. Check it out if you can. 😊
I have klonopin well mine is clonazepam .5mg I take it when the panic attacks hit they make you tired yes and you will get very mellowed out so don't drive til u are used to or know what it does to you. I find it helpful to an extent but I hate the tiredness. Good luck
