Remeron and vivid dreams.

Does anyone else take Remeron at night and if so, do the vivid dreams ever go away? I'm sleeping like a baby which is great but the vivid dreams are annoying. I'm on 30mg.

I had vivid dreams when I started a ssri. They eventually went away. How long have you taken the medicine? It could take time for the body to adjust.

Remeron isn't an SSRI but I've been on the increased dose for about 4 weeks. So I thought the vivid dreams would be gone by now.

i hope you get relief soon. Have you told the doctor?

Thank you. I emailed my dr. Waiting to hear back. The trade off is that I'm sleeping well because of the medication.

Ugh I remember taking Remeron. Yeah my dreams were vivid too. I ended up taking another med to suppress dreaming but it just made the dreams less nighmare-ish to candy apple and sugar plums. Weird! The dreaming did sub side but took over a year. Everyone is different so not sure how it will be for you. I had to change to another med cause the side effects weren't manageable with my health. Still it did wonders for my depression and Panic Attacks.

I took the same amount and had short dreams 5 minutes or so back to back all night long. It didn't bother me much most nights unless they were nightmares (1/3 ish) were. , and kept going on until a week or so after switching to a different med. The sleep factor was great though since it fixed my insomnia.

I’m on Zoloft and Lunesta and also have vivid dreams.. sometimes they trigger my anxiety when I wakeup. Reassuring to know I’m no the only one.

You are not alone. I am also on zoloft. I sleep well so that great, but I hate how vivid my dreams are and like you, they make me a little anxious. My dr. Suggested going off the Remeron but my morning anxiety has gotten better since going on Remeron. So it's hard to make a decision.
