I'm on day 7 of Citalopram. Most of the side affects haven't been too bad, but since I started taking it, my Acid Reflux has gotten worse. It's waking me up in the middle of the night and causing panic attacks. I had an endoscopy a couple weeks ago and the results came back normal. The doctor says my acid reflux is likely anxiety related. I'm taking Protonix for the Acid Reflux but it doesn't seem to be helping. The only relief I get is when i take an antacid drink like mylanta. I'm wonder, for those who have been on SSRIs, what side affects did you deal with at first? How long did they last before things got better?
