Hi my name is marlene,I was recently diagnosed with possible bradycardia, since then I been having terrible debilitating anxiety attacks and put on xanax. I don't want a pacemaker and I don't want anxiety and pills. Any thoughts

Marlenebagley, my cardiologist is an Electro physiologist doctor. One day when I was

with my friend, she suffered an episode of bradycardia. My doctor implanted a

pacemaker that kept her heart beating at a normal rate. She had no more episodes

after that. I know it's a scary thought, but talking with the doctor about the procedure

may be able to alleviate your fears. It is important when your h/r rate is that slow.

As for the Xanax, you may be able to negotiate regarding why you don't want any drugs.

Once your heart rate is stabilized, you may find that your anxiety will disappear. My
