Bad day

Just got some kind of scary news from the doctor. I’m at work and now I’m totally out of it mentally.. I just want to go home and cry. 😣

I already had to leave work early last week Friday because my grandpa was in the hospital. I’m just finding it so hard to care about work right now.

Thanks for the advice tamka. I think I will stay for the whole day, I just am having issues focusing. Do you have any advice for focusing?

If coffee or chocolate aren’t your thing, then chewing gum might help

A very simple meditation exercise is to use the natural rhythm of your breathing to bring your focus back.

If you notice your mind continuously drifting away on unwanted adventures, you can use a simple trick to bring yourself

back to where you want to be. When you catch your mind daydreaming, play along and add to the story and lead it back to

what you want to be working on. This way, any time it wanders again you can just follow the same path to return to the task at hand.

The act of scribbling might seem like something that absent-minded people do, but it has actually been shown to help your mind connect different thoughts together.

Thank you for the advice. I scribbled some of my thoughts and some pictures down and I feel a bit better now. Thank you again.
