I saw this on Facebook just a bit ago and where normally I don’t like to tell people to pretend to be something they’re not because I’ve spent so much of my life doing it and hate it... I can’t decide if whoever made this completely missed the point or nailed it.
I subscribe to a very specific view on bravery. I can’t find the quote I remember being my favorite but this moment from Game of Thrones sums it up nicely.
“Bran thought about it. 'Can a man still be brave if he's afraid?'
'That is the only time a man can be brave,' his father told him.”
To me, bravery comes from continuing to fight when you’re afraid. From when you believe there is no hope but try anyway. It’s about standing up for something when most people would give up or run away.
So to all the brave souls out there who might be having a rough morning/week/whatever (I know I am), stay strong, stand up for yourself, and have a glorious day in spite of any form of adversity you might face from yourself or the world around you! 🙂
