Paxil quit working after 23 years.

I have taken Paxil for 23 years. It has stopped working. Has this happened to anyone? What did you do? Is there a medicine that has worked for you after Paxil? Responses very much appreciated.

Hello, Oh so sorry to read your med. has let you down. I have had this problem also. I was on Prozac for 10 years and I built up a tolerance, then Psych. Dr. put me on Zoloft, same thing happened, I have been on a heck of a ride for the last 2 years, due to poor results. I am now coming out of a BAD route with clinical depression and high anxiety, I got lucky 2 weeks ago he put me on Viibryd 20 mg and I feel happy, and am functioning like my old self. So yes it does happen, talk to your Dr. and see what is recommended to get you back to functioning the way you want to.
