Medication/Paxil

I’ve been taking Paxil for about two-three weeks now and my depression has minimized substantially. Side effects sucked at first because I was getting nausea and waking up in the middle of the night. But now I feel okay. I was surprised on how quickly the medication worked. I wasn’t expecting that. I don’t feel as down as I used to. I either feel okay or good which is fine with me, I’m functioning. I’m also running a lot more and going out to see the sun so I’m sure that’s helping too.

Paxil saved me. I have not been on one better. So glad you are feeling better wohoo 🥳

Oh my too many on the list too recall but a lot of antidepressants meds for general social and ocd med and mood stabilizers.,I have bipolar and I take zyprexa with is an antipsychotic and Paxil for social general and ocd anxiety Lithium as a mood stabilizer plus it protects neurologically in the brain.

I’m so happy Paxil is helping. What dose are you on? I’m on 60 mg and my doc says that’s the highest one can go on.

Actually.....recently weenedpff of the Paxil, I am probably 2 months off. I am feeling like I am starting to slip....😔

In themean time I did DNA test for meds. I have some friends who did it ans switched medications by the tests results are are so much better!! Thing is, Paxil (I took 10 to 20 mg, depending on how I was doing) is listed as a NO for me to take, as are most SSRI’s.

I am pretty sure my dr wants me to try Cymbalta, but now I am scared of a new drug! But also scared to go back to Paxil. It was not perfect, but it is familiar!!! So strange because I do believe in the DNA testing. My anxiety is taking over my thinking, I think😂

Very little sleep last night. Jolted awake with fear.

Not sure what to do. Go back to Paxil, or go for the new med🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I really do not have time to be dinkin around with meds and the icky start up side effects😩😩😩😩

Aww I’m not sure, was Paxil good or not so much? If not really at all satisfied I’d go for a new med like the cymbalta just to see you know?

What med did you decide to go on in the end? Doesn't the DNA tell you what med will work for you?

I never had the DNA testing done
