Anxious and can not decide

Having a rough morning. I have health issue anxiety today. I was able to keep my cholesterol levels at bay for a several years already by diet and supplements. I have to admit that not too strict diet because I like sweets. But excluded red meats and such.

Now for last 5 months it does not go down anymore. Got my test result back yesterday.

Scared not to start some statin ...and scared start them.

Anyone here who takes them and have no issues?

Need some support to make a decision.

I know it's difficult to cut out sweets, but they all have a lot of fat. I stopped eating ice cream, and mine dropped quite a bit so is OK now.

My doctor wanted to put me on statins, I refused and cut out all sugar in tea cakes biscets etc started taking cod liver oil tablet and started to eat fruit and more salads, Also more exercise my cholesterol is normal now and my blood sugar is also normal now !

Great, Ray, very inspiring. Will try improvement of my diet but can not promise I can live totally without sugar...
