Sertraline withdrawals

Hi all

I hope some of you can help.

I have been on Sertraline for about five years now, but I am trying to come off of it as I would like to try for a baby in the next year. I was on 150mg, then 100mg, and now my doctor has said to reduce to 50mg. I have been on 50mg for a week and I just feel awful - my emotions are so heightened, my anxiety and OCD have been unbearable and I have been getting the standard head/heart spasms. Please can anyone tell me whether this will pass, or whether I'm just not ready to come off yet?

Hi I would tell your doctor and ask to cut down more slowly. Maybe 75 mgs would be better for the time being. x

I tried awhile ago to ween off and experienced the same thing. I would tell the prescribing doctor. See if maybe you need to ween off more gradually.
