Hi everyone. I'm Nancy and I have been depressed and anxious for years. Although I now have 3 years sobriety, I still struggle daily. Some days I can barely manage to get out of bed and get through the day. Currently see a therapist weekly and take Cymbalta 120mg daily. Looking forward to getting some extra support. Thanks!

Hi, Nancy. Congratulations on 3 years sobriety!! You have accomplished a lot. Your strength is amazing!!
I am sorry to hear of your continued struggles.
You are taking the highest dosage of Cymbalta that can be safely given. (according to drugs.com). Have you noticed any changes in mood since starting Cymbalta? It is one of the side effects to look out for.
I was on a 60mg and a 30mg tablet I am trying to get off and go with natural responses. I am now taking 30 mg, went gluten free, dairy free, biofeedback, help with breathing, I think i would hold my breath when my anxiety really put me in a tither i did not know how to get out of and it scared me. when i feel i start to get anxious i make a exit if i am somewhere with people. i think a lot of mine is social anxiety. a lot of it caused from childhood trauma. I never got into more than 90mg a day, i dont think my body could handle 120mg's, does it make you feel weird at all and does it help your anxiety?
I have depression, anxiety, and an attachment disorder. I also have fibromyalgia. I have been taking Cymbalta 60mg twice a day for many years. I was put on Cymbalta because it is a double duty drug. In 2000 I started with Paxil. When I began with the "Musculoskeletal aches and pains" (pre Fibro diagnosis) the Dr. changed from the Paxil to the Cymbalta to work for the depression and the Fibro symptoms.
I recently had the Gene DNA test done (three columns -best, good, not effective). My Cymbalta was not listed as being effective for my depression, but since it works for the Fibro symptom, I still take it. My Dr. added Vibriid for the depression. It was in the best use column of the gene study. I have felt a difference with the Vibriid, I take 20mg twice a day. I also take Xanax twice a day, every morning and every night, then if I need it I will take one during the day as well.
