Update I suppose 🤷🏻‍♀️

I start college (for the third and hopefully final time) next Wednesday, go to see my doctor to see if I can get anxiety medication on Thursday as well as a laptop for school since mine just crapped out.

Lately I've been getting better with my anxiety, still sucks when it happens (as it always does) but I think it's a bit more manageable.

I went to go get my hair done a week or so ago (going to the hairdressers is sometimes a trigger for me I'm not sure why), walked by myself (I normally always have someone with me) and managed to remain calm the whole time. I felt amazing.

I'm trying to go for walks whenever I feel stressed now, I find it really helps.

One of my friends came to visit since he's working out of the province and saw another friend briefly but worth it. Then I had an amazing night tonight hanging out with friends and having an overall good time.

Needless to say I have been a little stressed out about college, I almost didn't have a seat due to a technical error, as I said my laptop is dead and I need one for my program (a BYOD kind of deal) and so on, but it's all fixed and hopefully will mostly be smooth sailing from here.

I'd like to add a thank you to everyone who's taken the time to respond to any of my posts since I've joined. I felt really stuck and alone and it's nice to hear from others along with their stories and experiences. Plus I already see a difference in myself since I've joined.

I'm happy to be a part of such a wonderfully amazing community.

Thank you, and I wish the best for anyone who may come across this 😊❤️

It is good to hear that you are getting out more and having less anxiety in the process.

College is stressful but keep in mind that the time goes by fast and before you know it graduation arrives. College is a special time in one's life. I wish I could go back to that time. I was broke but extremely happy. Try and maintain a healthy balance. You will also meet people that will become life long friends too. I met my wife there in college (later divorced but that is besides the point). Sorry for rambling, just remembering my youthful days..

😊

Good for you! I went to college a little later in life and I loved it. I appreciated it more as I was older and my career went sideways and that’s when I became depressed. But I’m still working on my goals. I’m thrilled for you. 😁😁😁😁

Thanks for the update. I'm glad that you're feeling a little better. It always feels good to do something nice for yourself like get your hair done.

I hope college goes well for you. It's always a stressful and nerve-wracking time. Just focus on your studies and you'll be done sooner than you know it.
