Hey everyone I just recently got out of the hospital and was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and a eating disorder. Once I got diagnosed it made sense because there were a lot of struggles throughout my life caused by my anxiety. Now that I know I am having a hard time day to day because I am always having anxiety and my mind never wants to shut off. They put me on Prozac and I know it’s early but it still hasn’t gotten better. I am not sure what to do because sometime my anxiety is so bad I can’t movie and want to puke.

I have never found a good reason for Prozac to be prescribed for anxiety, unless there is more to your diagnosis. Prozac doesn't have a sedative component. There are plenty of anti-depressants that do. Maybe talking to you doctor about it would be a good idea.

Most anti-depressants take 3-4 weeks to start feeling results. Did people at the hospital give you any ideas on how to cope with your anxiety?
