Feeling lonely

Most of the time I feel lonely. Even in a room pf people I am on an island and no one understands what I am going through. My husband divorced me because he couldn't cope with my disorders any longer...talk about feeling lonely. Lowest point in my life. Tried to kill myself several times. I don't like feeling out of control. It is a confusing and never ending circle.

I'm very sorry your feeling this way, and it does sound like your in a crisis...have you a therapist, and are you on any medication. Do you feel you will self harm to the point where it may be safer for you to check yourself in for inpatient care for a while so you can get some around the clock care and evaluation to get you continuation of care. I'm glad your here sharing about how your feeling.

I sympathise with you. I really do. I am in the same Boat. It's a horrible feeling. I am also Divorced, hardly any Family left, I am 64 and feel very isolated and lonely. I have a few good Friends which help when they can but they have their own lives to get on with and certainly don't want to bother them with my concerns all the time. My Sons call to see me and phone when they can but I never tell them how I'm feeling as I know they would worry. Please take care of yourself.

Have you ever thought about moving to be closer to your sons? Not next door, but maybe and hour or two away.?

I have yes. My one Son lives about an hour away now, trouble is I don't really get on with his Girlfriend. We have had our differences I can tell you!!! My other Son works away a lot of the time so it's a difficult situation. Plus I love my Home and really don't feel like any upheaval at this stage in my Life.

Aww thank you. I'm glad I'm here too. It helps so much. :)

Hello ok!

I understand your loneliness and feeling out of control. Some of the hideous side-effects of depression. I’m so sorry you’re in the throes of your disease...you’re not alone in your suffering.

Those around you don’t need to understand what you’re going through in order for you to make progress with healing. Live and love for yourself because you are so worthy! Don’t depend on other’s understanding, but on your understanding. Work on being positive 🙂 You can make a difference in your own head 🤪

I have to agree with fauxartist, I will just add that here within the support group, we will never judge you. So in addition to seeking a therapist and or inpatient care as fauxartist suggested, please continue posting here as getting your issues out in a safe environment will help you. We support you 100%.
