Hello Shriendly!

Honestly, I can’t even say that I know what TMS therapy is!! I’m sure I’ll remember once you tell me! In my case, I don’t depend on meds to see me through. Dependence on them has never served me well...of course I take my meds, but for me, I depend on my spiritual beliefs and my ability to carry out those beliefs. I employ a certain level of tenacity at helping myself. I know this reply didn’t help you with your question, so I’m going to shut up now! Wishing you the best!

I thought what you said was very helpful for someone to know that an alternative to taking meds is possible.

What TMS is:

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a noninvasive procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain to improve symptoms of depression. TMS is typically used when other depression treatments haven't been effective.

During a TMS session, an electromagnetic coil is placed against your scalp near your forehead. The electromagnet painlessly delivers a magnetic pulse that stimulates nerve cells in the region of your brain involved in mood control and depression. And it may activate regions of the brain that have decreased activity in people with depression

Common side effects

Side effects are generally mild to moderate and improve shortly after an individual session and decrease over time with additional sessions. They may include:

Headache

Scalp discomfort at the site of stimulation

Tingling, spasms or twitching of facial muscles

Lightheadedness

Thanks fauxartist for explaining TMS therapy! And no! The definition did not come to me via explanation! 🤯 Thanks also for the vote of confidence. Have a great day!

I am sorry, I'm not sure what your saying....did I offend you?

in reply tofauxartist

No! Not at all! I’m probably speaking mumbo jumbo!! I tend to do that sometimes lol!! I was basically thanking you for the explanation and referring to something I said in my reply. It really wasn’t of any importance! You absolutely did not offend me! Thanks for allowing me to clear up the confusion! Have a great day! 🌞❤️🌞
