Crippling fear
That sounds like pretty severe anxiety. Is this something new or something you have dealt with before? I have dealt with anxiety and depression off and on since my early 20s, I’m in my 40s now. I’ve recently been having horrible anxiety that fills me with dread and actually wakes me up in a breathless panic with an icy feeling in my chest. I went to my doctor and started back on my Zoloft 12 days ago and recently added Klonopin for temporary use so I could sleep through the night. Even though I still have bad days, I can tell the meds are helping. This group has also been a huge source of support and comfort too. You aren’t suffering alone. We are all here to lift each other in dark times and celebrate and encourage the good days.
It sound like something is really on your mind that’s just tormenting you. Have you tried a few Benadryl to keep you asleep?
I had severe insomnia with anxiety and depression recently, I had to quit my job. I got on some strong sleeping medication and an anti depressant. I’m doing much better now, sleeping very well again. I have been going to therapy, journaling and doing whatever I can to help myself get better. Medication is needed sometimes I hope you are on something.
I put my headphones in and listen to meditation music that seems to really take me to a calming place, I would definitely try that. I’m so sorry your dealing with that too.
