Im afraid.. I need a friend

Im afraid that im going to lose my mind.. I rather die than to lose my mind.. Its overwhelming feeling like im going to lose it.. 😭😭😭😭 i feel this everyday.

Saoirse2, you are not alone. We are your friends. We want to support you and help you throught our own experiences. Mental health issues can be frightening. The fact that you are worried about losing your mind, shows me you have all your faculties.. It sounds like your life is overwhelming that you can think of nothing else but what is going on in your head.

Seeing a therapist is the first suggestion in stopping these negative thoughts that are in control right now. Maybe even short time medication. But start with your doctor/therapist and go from there. Worrying about this is non productive. The circle of fear just keeps growing. You are going to be okay but you need a little help as a start in getting better.

I'm glad you found this forum. We are not professionals but can understand the fears that build in our minds from Anxiety. One step at a time, set up that appointment or go to your ER. We support you and are behind you in getting help. xx

Saoirse, we are not doctors but I can tell you if there is any danger in hurting yourself or someone else, it needs to be addressed by a professional. As for it being a psychosis? only a professional would be able to tell you. Intense therapy along with antipsychotic medication may be warranted. Never jump to worse case scenario but get the answers you need to relieve your worries and get the help in feeling better. You are worth it. xx

Saoirse, I would stay away from Google. It is too generalized and may end up confusing and scaring you more. Find a Mental Health Site, such as the Calm Clinic

which will give you a true perspective in anxiety disorders and what's behind them.

As you interact with others on the forum, pick and choose what may work for you.

Don't absorb any negative comments esp. on meds since we all react differently to

different medications.

As you share your issues, you will find that you are not alone and will meet many who can truly relate to what you are going through. We're all human with the same problems and issues in life. Bad or good.

Are you in therapy right now? On medication?

Im not in therapy now.. Back in 2015 i was struggling this too.. And i overcome it until may 2018 and this feeling comeback june2018.. Do you think this is psychosis? Or.. Anything

I know it is hard but you will be ok, lots of people go through this. You might not know it but you have friends on here who are going through the same things as you.

Maybe you should get a check up to put your mind at ease.

Why do you think it's psychosis? Are you just thinking the worst?

The fact you think it’s psychosis suggests you may be ok. When I had it I didn’t believe the psychiatrist I believed 100% the thoughts were real and I needed to act on them, it was only afterwards I begrudgingly came to accept his opinion! I think if you have psychosis you are often not aware it is

... Yea.. I have this urge like i had to act on my thoughts and im scare of what people think of me.. So whats the bestvthing to do to overcome it

Try to distract yourself when you have them. If you write down a plan and stick to it when you do have them, for example going away from the person you may harm, ring8ng someone for support whether family, friend, gp, samaritans , doing something you enjoy, .. but like everyone else says seek advice and support. If you don’t want to go to gp yet then at least speak to a helpline that can listen and advise you. Keep strong xxx

Hello, I use to have severe panic attacks and horrible thoughts. Please just make sure to go to the ER or see your Dr asap. You can get better.

Same old.. My head is heavy because of the thoughts running over and over

I know it could be hard the 1st time. I actually got forced to. It saved my life. But once I talked about it and listen to myself and others. I learned I can change with time. They said to me they have heard it all. Everything is confidential. I hope you think about it some more
