I have been feeling so aggravated lately because of my anxiety I have been on Zoloft for about 6 weeks now. About a week ago my girlfriend broke up with me because of my anxiety and me not wanting to go places because it was making her depression worse. Now I just don’t know where to turn she told me when I am stable we could get back together. I just never dealt with depression so I wanted to see if anyone thought this was normal.

I don’t know...if two people are truly committed to one another, they can weather almost any storm! I don’t know if her reaction to your anxiety is normal or not. It doesn’t sound like she’s very willing to deal with/accept your anxiety even though you’re obviously seeking treatment for it. I’m not convinced that it’s a good match, but only you know. These types of mental conditions tend to occur, go into somewhat of a remission, then reoccur. So! You don’t want someone who’s going to leave the relationship every time your anxiety kicks into action. The choice is yours! Hoping you find peace on your journey!!
You can have all the commitment in the world but if two people have mental illness and are dating it’s not going to work out in the long run. You can’t give fully of yourself if you don’t have your own issues worked out let alone support some one else with mental health issues. You got to be rational and realistic.
I have taken note...thank you!
