I don't look at Health Unlocked these days (its a long story) unless I am sent an email asking for advice from a particular correspondent. This happened today and asked me to "click here" to respond to Jrobertson's query on experiences with venlafaxine.
So I "clicked there" and typed a pretty long ,several paragraphs of advice for jrobertson which took me about 45 minutes and was then offered a " reply" or "submit" button which I found should have been labelled "delete everything you have just painstakingly typed"
Thank you very much for adding to the " long story". Perhaps you ought to warn and remind infrequent users trying to help that they ought to log in first before they start clicking buttons they have long since forgotten the purpose of.

A PS. I ought to add that in the days when I regularly replied to posts, I kept myself permanently logged in and was only therefore only vaguely aware that one had to be logged in. I presume that's why all my typing vanished but I really think you should pointedly underline this when asking someone who has n't used Health Unlocked since the old king died.
Hi Al you can't even get into the site to type anything if you aren't logged in so it must just have been a glitch or something.
The best thing to do is every few lines or so save it to your memory so if it happens again you won't lose most of it.
To do this highlight the area then click on Ctrl and C together. This will hold it in your memory until you click Ctrl and V together. You can save any number of times during a long post. x
Ah, bless you ! That is SO frustrating and I really feel for you. Done similar stuff myself. So so frustrating when you've put all that time and effort into replying. Well done for staying around this long though. You are very much appreciated. Gemma xx
just another member here...but for myself, often I have accidentally hit the wrong button while typing, and lost everything...so now I do my spell check or writing on 'WORD' so I have my work off site, then cut and paste it in the comments or post. Hope that helps as an idea.
