I've had extremely bad anxiety and depression since the summer of 2016. I was at my Dad's in Tennessee, i started waking up early in cold sweats, my hands clamy. It kept getting worse to the point that i was so anxious that i had to fly back to my mom early. I got a doctors visit and started trying to see what meds would help. Finally i got some and they worked. I was a lot better for awhile till March, it all came back while i was in school. It started out manageable but now its out of control. I feel like im losing control, i cant think, i feel so unreal, i question everything, distant from people and things im close to, i doubt things ive already done, i feel like i have no emotion. It feels like it gets worse everyday...please tell me there is an end

Hey it gets better! I was in a similar situation where i was on medication in the summer because of anxiety i experienced in school. For a whole year i took medication, even when i was in school. Got off it the following summer, school year progressed BAM it was back. It sucks. It really does. I dont know you or everything you have experienced with anxiety but what you are saying hits close to home. For you and me, one day it will be better. Recognizing it and wanting help is the first step. You are doing great. It is completely doable. Believe in yourself, its hard but worth it.

While seeking help and medication is very important, I would recommend adopting a new lifestyle that seeks to improve your overall being as a human. I am in the same boat and in the recent months I have taken up things that have transformed my outlook towards life.

- Daily morning walks with the intention of appreciating nature

- If you have a pet, it accelerates the improvement even much faster

- Daily prayers and gratitude journal (simplejoyofliving.blogspot....

- Meditation for 15-20 minutes is great

- Reading books on "compassion" and the "art of living" can give insight into holistic living and the gift of serving we all possess.

- If you are stuck or depressed, go for a fast walk or run and that helps generate serotonin and better mood

- Working in the garden is another opportunity to heal ourselves.
